The Vincent Mary School of Engineering, Science, and Technology (VMES), in collaboration with Graduate Studies, embarked on an educational trip to France in February 2025. This journey provided students with an exceptional opportunity to explore cutting-edge technology, world-class business education, and cultural landmarks.
Exploring Airbus A321 Manufacturing 🛫
Students visited one of the largest aircraft manufacturing facilities in the world, gaining a rare glimpse into the inner assembly line of the Airbus A321. This immersive experience offered insights into the latest advancements in aerospace engineering and manufacturing processes.
Business Insights at Toulouse School of Management 📊
Participants attended an enlightening lecture on the Digital Economy, delivered by esteemed professors from the Toulouse School of Management, one of the top three business schools in France. Discussions focused on the differences between the digital economy in Southeast Asia and Europe, offering a global perspective on technological and economic trends.
Cultural and Historical Exploration 🎭🏰
Beyond technology and business, the trip also provided cultural enrichment through visits to renowned landmarks:
- Château de Rayne Vigneau 🍷 – A historic vineyard with over 200 years of winemaking excellence, known for producing some of the finest Sauternes wines.
- Château de Chambord 🏰 – The most magnificent Renaissance castle in the Loire Valley, originally commissioned by King Francis I in 1519, with breathtaking architecture and historical significance.
- Avenue des Champs-Élysées 🌆 – One of the world’s most famous avenues, stretching nearly two kilometers from Place de la Concorde to the Arc de Triomphe, offering a vibrant mix of history, shopping, and cultural events.
The Louvre & Fine Arts Immersion 🎨
Students explored the Louvre Museum, home to over 38,000 works of art, including Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa. The visit provided insights into masterpieces from the Italian Renaissance, featuring works by Botticelli, Veronese, and Raphael.
A Memorable Finale: Bateaux Mouches Cruise & Eiffel Tower 🚢✨
The trip concluded with a scenic Bateaux Mouches sightseeing cruise along the Seine River, offering stunning views of Paris. Students also experienced the grandeur of the Eiffel Tower, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most iconic landmarks in the world.
